American rockers MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE have a surprise for fans on their new album - a cameo from LIZA MINNELLI. Minnelli agreed to lend her vocals to the track MAMA on LP THE BLACK PARADE for free. Frontman GERARD WAY explains, "My grandmother was a big Liza Minnelli fan. We needed someone that had a lot of character, someone that was very strong, sorrowful. "So we put a call in and she did it for free. She was so sweet and just nailed it right away. We never actually met, she was in New York, we were in LA, and we were just talking through this mixing board."

KASABIAN frontman TOM MEIGHAN has attacked emo bands including FALL OUT BOY, PANIC! AT THE DISCO and MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE. The CUTT OFF rocker believes the rock sub-genre is a negative influence on emotionally confused teenagers. He tells MTV, "I keep hearing how emo music is bringing kids together and that it's got these positive messages and all that, but if it's damaging teenagers and if it's making them depressed, how can that be a good thing? "All it causes is moaning teenagers. There's nothing positive from it. "It may upset people, but emo is dead in my eyes. F**k emo. Just enjoy the world." Kasabian has also slammed fellow chart stars JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, THE ROLLING STONES and KEANE in recent months.

Referitor la stirea cu Tom Meighan, trebuie sa admit ca...acest tip este un prost mare cat societatea !Nu are nici o influenta muzica de absolut orice fel daca tu esti deja deprimat.Poti sa te prefaci, sa dansezi ca un sarit pe r&b sau ce-o mai fi, dar in suflet totul devine un cosmar in minciuna.Asa ca mai bine nu-ti ascunzi suferinta, o dai "pe fata", altfel mai mult rau faci.Si, sincera sa fiu, mai bine ma apuc sa plang, sa urlu pe MCR decat sa fac pe "O-ce-fericita-sunt-eu"...Si credeti-ma pe cuvant, cred ca stiu teribil de bine ce vorbesc aici.Si cu asta basta.MCR ROCKS!

A free London gig by goth rockers MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE descended into violence last night (12OCT06) when TOWERS OF LONDON guitarist DIRK TOURETTE flicked a cigarette at drummer BOB BRYAR. The New Jersey band were starting a 35-minute set in front of 500 fans at a central London's Virgin Megastore when Tourette, who had been watching the band from the sidelines, ended up in a scuffle with My Chemical Romance's management, before being escorted from the building by security. The band recovered quickly from the incident, sparking high-spirited singalongs of fan favourites, including new single WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE.

Rockers MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE struggled to come to terms with their meteoric rise to stardom, because they began to feel like circus performers. The WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE stars had no idea how to deal with the adulation fans heaping on them, and felt under too much pressure to live up to expectations. Frontman GERARD WAY says, "There's a fine line between being treated like a demi-god and being treated like a circus monkey. "When people don't treat you like a human being, it's very odd. The stars went through "a dark time", particularly when lead singer GERARD WAY's personal turmoil almost jeopardised the whole project. Way says, "I went through a crisis. I was examining every awful thing about myself. I was cutting myself open and taking all the parts out and examining them. "I found out that I was a coward. I became very susceptible to depression. "It wasn't the happiest time of our lives. I was very edgy, almost like I wasn't really alive. I was living inside the record. It was a dark time."

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE almost didn't make it through the recording sessions for their new album WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE - when bassist MIKEY WAY suffered a minor emotional breakdown and quit. The group was just about to start recording the new disc when depression hit Way hard and he was forced to leave the house he shares with his bandmates when they were working on new material. He reveals, "It was probably the most difficult time in my life. I've always been the type of person to keep things bottled up and internalise things and I never dealt with a lot of things. "Making this record was like taking a piggy bank and throwing it on the ground. "I just broke down and had to leave the house for a while... I didn't know what was going to happen to me. I didn't know if I was gonna be back in the band." Way spent two months living with a pal in Los Angeles and underwent therapy sessions to "repair" himself. Bandmate RAY TORO admits Way's departure from the band almost split My Chemical Romance for good. He adds, "When that happened we didn't want to play because we were missing a member, so the band wasn't complete and we just walked around aimlessly."

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE frontman GERARD WAY hopes his dark anthems help fellow 20-somethings cope with the tragedy of life - because he writes his death-inspired hits with his peers in mind. The white-haired rocker claims 20-year-old men and women are so confused they're just like the walking dead. He tells MTV News, "Men and women in their twenties are like the walking dead, being part of a workforce they don't want to be a part of. Nothing. No life. "They're not in love. They're just, like, going out to bars, getting wasted and having casual sex. It's a really hollow, empty period in your life and I think nothing, to me, felt more dead than being, like, 23. "It's something about being in your 20s; it's a very dark period in your life because you're confused about what you're doing, you've made a lot of mistakes, you can't see yourself getting to 30 yet. "It is kind of like a tragic period and there's a lot of anger in, like, 20-somethings."

Rockers MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE are hoping to capitalise on the huge success of their theatrical new album by turning the record into a stage musical. THE BLACK PARADE stormed international charts last month (OCT06) while its dark themes of death and cancer sparked frenzied media debate. And singer GERARD WAY is confident the music will translate equally well to stage or screen. He says, "I think (The Black Parade) needs to be something. "If not a play then a musical. It's such a visual thing. I think it would make a great animated film, something experimental would really work for this. "It'd also be really interesting to rewrite the script so when you make it into a movie it should be something almost totally different. There should be elements of a rock band in that, or maybe this character has a rock band. It would be cool to maybe play with the notions of what you're making than just simply tell the story." The Black Parade charts the precoce death of a man loosely based on Way himself. Rockers GREEN DAY are also working on a movie treatment for their 2004 hit AMERICAN IDIOT.

pai nu se taia la propriu...era o metafora 
Vroia sa zica ca isi "taia" interiorul/constiinta/personalitatea pentru a o analiza, bucatica cu bucatica....daca s-a crezut un coward & Co... nu prea ai ce sa-i faci, chiar si eu am cele mai proste pareri despre mine, dar asta ne ajuta pana la urma sa ne schimbam in bine si mai bine, de obicei. Nu cred ca ti-ar fi placut un Gerard gen "OMG, I perfect "!!
Unul dintre lucrurile care imi plac cel mai mult e ca el gandeste profund. Asta il face deosebit de ceilalti, il face oarecum intelectual si interesant, mai artist decat multi artisti....dar tot aceasta profunzime te face destul de "susceptibile to depresion". Dar nu-ti fa griji, sunt sigura ca e bine acum
