Who are My Chemical Romance?

Where does the name My Chemical Romance come from?
From a book by the author Irvine Welsh called: ‘Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance’. Mikey saw the title, they added ‘My’ to it and the band name was a fact. Of course there are also various explanations on how this band name works for them. You can read interviews about that and more in the My Published Romance section.
How many albums do they have?
Three.
I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love [© Eyeball Records] is their first album, released in July of 2002.
The second one, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge [© Warner] was released in June of 2004.

What's the story behind Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge?
It's the story of a man, a woman, and the corpses of a thousand evil men. I.e.: two lovers die in the desert in a gunfight. The guy goes to hell and meets the devil, who tells the guy he can only be reunited with his lover if he brings the devil the souls of a thousand evil men...
Did they have a different drummer at first?
Yes. Matt Pelissier used to be their drummer, but was replaced by Bob. Bob used to be the sound engineer for The Used.
How many video’s for I’m not okay (I promise) are there?
Two. The fist video for ‘I’m not okay’ start off with a sleeping Gerard and their tour-’bus’ that arrives in front of what I can only assume is Gerard’s and Mikey’s house. The tour-‘bus’ is a van with a trailer behind it, covered in graffiti. There is a lot of live footage and shots of a very ill Gerard. You can also see his parents in the video and he (Gerard) rolls over the floor, jumps up and down and just goes mad on stage. Crazy video and not as slick as the second one, but very lovely for that reason. Gives you an impression on how they are live.
The second one has the ‘high-school’ theme and the band plays in a garage. It’s a mini movie.
Who played the dog mascot in INO?
Brian Schecter, their manager.
Who is Helena?
Mikey and Gerards grandmother. She past away some time before the recording of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Her real name is Elena.
Are they gay?
To answer this question we quote Gerard (Rocksound 65, Oktober 2004):

Habar nu am ce e black bar-ul....credeam ca sunt singura care nu stie  (era ceva intr-un test...daca nu stii, go back now sau asa ceva). La inceputul primei versiuni i'm not ok, gerard e cel care doarme....in rest, nu stiu raspunsurile...nu m-am intrebat niciodata asa ceva

deci tocmai m-am uitat iara la video si nu arata ce ii atarnat, da imi aduc aproape bine aminte ca arata in makin of ca era un fel de zar atarnat sau ceva de genu, oricum yo is acuma intr-un fel de stare de soc, n-am mai vazut helena de mult uitasem cum aratau acolo, in primele 10 sec eram "geez that's really gerard, woaw!" apoi am avut un ocazie absolut teenie si apoi am trecut peste o sa ma uit si la makin of la un clipă dat, si da mi-am dat seama ca era defapt vorba de întâia versiune de la im not okay, si normal ca stiu ca acolo la inceput doarme gee
